Falling Through the Cracks
Naive Nonsense
Enjoy:)
Where the Severely Mentally Ill "Live"
This is a chart showing the statistics of locations where people whom are mentally ill reside. Sadly enough, most are not taken care of or hospitalized. For many reasons, such as being incapable of affording aid and no recognition of these disorders, restrain is put and help is much too far away.

Picture I took in Los Angeles
This is a picture I took on a field trip I had gone on. The man who owned this poster was selling ice to help him make enough money to buy a home. This was in November when we saw him. November is in winter and winter is a cold season. Cold seasons are often times when ice isn't essential. We don't need the ice he has to offer but he needs the money and time we can offer.

My opinion on various blogs
www.errantdreams.com
This website was very helpful, it discussed the frequent misconceptions and myths. The bloggers discussed opinions they do not feel are right and how it feels like to be judged because one has a disorder. I like the position this blog has;however, I did not receive much information.
www.lahomelessblog.org
This blog gave statistics and solutions. I thought it was very easy to understand and follow and had great information.
www.starkology.blogspot.com
This blog offered information that hadn't been brought to my attention before. It showed different ways of medication such as watching movies or even alcohol. This was a great blog because it was not like the rest and showed things in a different light.
www.radicalmentalhealth.net
This website contains an interesting hypothesis. Is love a mental illness? It makes one wonder, does love make us crazy? I thought this was a good question and shows that anyone and everyone can go insane.
www.furiousseasons.com
This blog discusses certain disorders. The bloggers talk about depression and wonder if it should be considered a mental illness. I never thought about depression and how many people suffer from it and how many are able to overcome these disorders. This blog was very interesting.
www.mentalmommy.blogspot.com
In this blog, one learns about the obstacles having a mental disability can create. It also shows that it is even more difficult when one must raise a child while having these illnesses. I never realized the responsibilities one would have and the aid that wouldn't be given to them.
www.chinspirations.com
In this website, there is a story about a young 15 year old girl who has to help raise her mother. This shows that mental illnesses affect everyone around and can emotion damage others if one isn't properly treated. I thought this was a very good website and was very emotion.
www.mentaldisabilitylaw.com
This blog questions the decisions some parents and schools are making. The questions brought up are regarding putting children into special education at the first sign of confusion and incapability to stay with the group. I thought this was a very helpful website because I have seen these problems and notice what it can do to a child and how they feel when they are told there is something wrong with them when they are frequently perfectly normal.
www.schizophrenia.com
In this website, the blogger shows the difficulties of having a relationship and a mental illness. The discomfort of trying to juggle things while being mentally challenged. I was able to have more of an understanding for people whom are around people that have these disorders.
www.dashes.com
In this blog, Anil Dash talks about his struggles with being bipolar and depression. This shows one what a person with a mental illness feels like and endures during their lowest years. This blog helped me see another perspective.
